Residential, long-term stays
When the time comes to move out of your current home for good, you’ll want to choose a place that still feels homely but where you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that care is available whenever you need it. Our long-term residential stays are designed to be flexible and tailored to each resident, bringing you home comforts, security and an exciting new stage in your life.
Whether you need help with everyday activities like getting around or with personal care tasks like washing, dressing or eating, we have a team of highly trained and dedicated staff who are here to support you. For those who require more specialised care, we have experienced carers available 24 hours a day and a separate dementia unit. We believe that everyone deserves to live a full and dignified life, and we are committed to providing the highest standards of care to help make that possible.
Holiday, respite and short-term stays
Caring for a loved one can be an incredibly rewarding experience, but it can also be demanding on the carer’s time and emotions. At Baxendale we fully recognise that sometimes, all that is needed is a little break and we’re here to help with that.
With minimum stays of two weeks and care available for several months if required, you can join us for a short-term stay where you will benefit from all the care, features and facilities that our long-term residents enjoy. That includes a modern en-suite room with a stunning view, fantastic food and activities, cleaning services and exceptional care available 24/7.
Respite care provides both you and your carer with the opportunity to recharge your batteries whilst ensuring that you are well looked after until you are ready to return home. Many short-term residents also use the chance to stay for a short period of time as a ‘taster’ for a possible time in the future when they may decide to move in for longer.
Post-surgery / rehabilitative stays
We understand that recovering from an operation or illness can be a difficult and confusing time.
Whether you or your loved one are recovering from a recent procedure or period of illness, joining us for a respite break guarantees that you will receive all the support needed during recovery.
Our skilled and compassionate care staff are here to provide any assistance that is required and we have all the amenities that are necessary for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Experience quiet time alone or participate in an array of activities and bright communal areas. Enjoy delicious and healthy meals which are prepared on-site each day, with varied hot and cold options always available.
Our minimum stay is two weeks, but we are happy to provide care for up to a few months if needed. Many of our respite residents enjoy their stay so much that they decide to remain with us after their recovery.
Specialist dementia care
As a specialist dementia care home, we understand how difficult it can be to watch a loved one struggle with dementia. We also know that finding the right care unit can be a challenging and overwhelming process.
That’s why we’re so proud of our dedicated dementia care unit. Our team of highly trained and experienced professionals are devoted to providing top-quality, tailored care to our residents with dementia, in their own private area and lounge.
All our residents with dementia enjoy their own individual, private rooms. Our varied and specialised itinerary ensures there is always lots of stimulation and one-to-one attention provided.
